Tech company AvidBeam is joining the region’s biggest tech gathering at the Oman Tech AI Summit this January. Where it plans to showcase how everyday businesses can put artificial intelligence to work. The summit takes place on January 27-28 at Muscat’s Convention and Exhibition Centre, bringing together tech minds from across the region.
AvidBeam’s CEO Hani Elgebaly will share practical insights about combining visual technology, data, and artificial intelligence during his keynote talk. “Businesses today need straightforward solutions; that’s where AvidBeam comes in,” says Elgebaly. “At the summit, we’re going to show how AI can solve real problems that companies face every day.”

Visitors to AvidBeam’s booth will see four main technologies in action, or “AvidBeam’s Arsenal of Security.” Their solution, AvidFace, makes facial recognition accurate and reliable—something that used to be a headache for many businesses. For those worried about safety, AvidGuard acts like an extra set of eyes, spotting potential issues and keeping detailed records of what’s happening.
Store owners stopping by will want to check out AvidRetail, which helps them understand how customers move through their shops and what catches their attention. Cities and parking lots can benefit from AvidAuto, which keeps track of cars, reads license plates, and manages who goes where—making traffic flow smoother and parking easier.
The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology has partnered with local companies Ta’zeez and Future to organize this major event. They’re expecting more than 3,000 people and 100 companies to fill the exhibition halls, all looking to bring more tech investment to Oman.
“When people visit our booth, they’ll see exactly how these tools work in the real world,” Elgebaly explains. “It is not about future what-if scenarios—it is about solutions that enterprises in our region can apply now.”
Over the two days, visitors can join discussions and workshops and explore the exhibition floor.
