AvidBeam at Milestone’s XProtect Real Estate Workshop: Empowered Ecosystems for an Intelligent Future

On June 16, 2026, AvidBeam joined Milestone Systems and a select group of technology partners for the XProtect Open Platform Real Estate Workshop at Dusit Thani Hotel in New Cairo.

The session was built around a single connected scenario: a simulated mixed-use development with villas, residential towers, a retail mall, offices, and parking. Everything ran through one Milestone XProtect interface. Consequently, attendees did not see product demonstrations in isolation. Instead, they saw how each technology layer operates as part of a unified platform addressing real estate security and operational challenges.

AvidBeam’s team on the ground covered three demonstration areas. Together, they showed what Artificial Intelligence (AI) video analytics looks like in practice across a real estate environment, from vehicle access at the parking gate through to face-based forensic investigation across the full site.

The Scenario That Framed the Day

The workshop’s organizing format was its most distinctive feature. Rather than a series of standalone product presentations, the session brought every partner into one connected scenario. The simulated mixed-use development included villas, residential towers, a retail mall, commercial offices, and parking areas.

All of this ran through a single Milestone XProtect interface. As a result, attendees could see how different technology layers, including access control, Artificial Intelligence video analytics, hardware infrastructure, and systems integration, connect in practice. Furthermore, the format reflected how real estate operators actually manage their properties: not through separate siloed platforms, but through one unified operations view.

For AvidBeam, the scenario provided a direct context for each demonstration. The parking areas anchored the License Plate Recognition (LPR) demo. The lobby entrance framed the face recognition and watchlist matching session. The multi-zone site structure gave Ahmed Hafez’s forensic search demonstration its full impact.

What AvidBeam Demonstrated

Three members of AvidBeam’s team each covered a distinct demonstration area. The three sessions built on each other. Sherif El-Hussiney established the platform context. Mina Medhat showed vehicle intelligence at the access layer. Ahmed Hafez took the same environment and demonstrated what face recognition delivers from lobby entry through to full-site forensic investigation.

Sherif El-Hussiney: The Platform Overview

Sherif El-Hussiney, AvidBeam’s Regional Sales Manager, gave attendees a broader look at the AvidBeam product suite and how it integrates into the open XProtect platform. His session covered how AvidFace, AvidGuard, AvidAuto, and AvidSight each address a distinct operational layer, and how all four connect through the same XProtect interface.

This context was important for the demos that followed. Attendees understood which product was doing what before the live demonstrations began. Consequently, the technical sessions carried more weight because the platform logic was already clear.

Mina Medhat: LPR Across Parking and Access

Mina Medhat, AvidBeam’s Service Delivery Team Lead, walked through the LPR capabilities across the simulated development’s parking and access scenarios. His demonstration covered AvidAuto‘s vehicle recognition layer in a real estate context, specifically how license plate reading connects to access authorization at every vehicle entry point across the development.

AvidBeam team ran a live, in-room demonstration using a small model car fitted with a license plate. As the car moved within view of the camera, AvidBeam’s LPR system read the plate in real time, showing attendees exactly how plate recognition performs at the point of capture, the same core capability used at parking entry points and access gates in full-scale deployments.

Ahmed Hafez: Face Recognition From Lobby to Forensics

Ahmed Hafez, AvidBeam’s Presales & Technical Engineer, covered AvidFace‘s face recognition capabilities across two distinct use cases: live watchlist matching at the lobby entrance, and forensic multi-camera face search across the full site.

The first part of his demonstration showed how AvidFace identifies individuals at the lobby entrance in real time. A face appears in the camera frame. The system matches it against the active watchlist. An alert fires immediately, with confirmed identity, camera source, and timestamp. No operator needed to be watching the feed for the alert to trigger.

The second part was the demonstration that generated the most impact in the room. Ahmed ran a forensic multi-camera face search that rebuilt a movement timeline across the entire simulated site in seconds. What would previously have required manually reviewing footage from every camera across the development, potentially hours of work, was completed through a single query. Consequently, attendees saw the direct operational difference between a camera network that records and one that investigates.

Why the Open Platform Format Matters

The XProtect Open Platform format is what made the workshop operationally relevant rather than simply promotional. Each partner presented within the same interface. Attendees saw how multiple technology layers connect in practice, not in separate slide decks.

For real estate operators evaluating AI video analytics, this format addresses a practical concern. Most developments already run a Video Management System (VMS). The question is not whether to replace it. The question is which analytics layers integrate most effectively into the existing platform. Seeing AvidBeam’s capabilities running inside XProtect, alongside Honeywell Lenel’s access control, Conexao’s integration layer, and Dell Technologies’ infrastructure, gave attendees a realistic picture of what a full deployment looks like.

Furthermore, IQSIGHT’s presence alongside AvidBeam added a useful dimension. Both companies cover AI video analytics. Attendees saw two different approaches to shared use cases within the same platform environment. For organizations in active evaluation, that side-by-side context is more useful than any single-vendor presentation.

AvidBeam’s Product Suite in the XProtect Ecosystem

The workshop demonstrated three of AvidBeam’s core products within the XProtect environment. Each addresses a distinct operational layer in a real estate context.

AvidFace: handles identity verification at building entrances, lobby access points, and restricted zones. It delivers facial recognition at over 90% accuracy, sustained across masks, glasses, and non-frontal angles. Watchlist matching runs in real time at every monitored access point simultaneously.

AvidAuto: manages vehicle access across parking structures, gate entry points, and internal access roads. License Plate Recognition reaches 98%+ accuracy for Arabic plates and 92%+ for English. Allow lists, deny lists, and VIP lists cross-reference at every camera the vehicle passes.

AvidGuard: covers behavioral threat detection across perimeter zones, lobby areas, and common spaces. It establishes a behavioral baseline per zone and alerts on deviations, keeping false positive rates at a level where security teams maintain consistent response discipline.

Together, these three products cover the security and operational intelligence requirements that real estate environments face across vehicle access, personnel identity, and behavioral monitoring. All three run through the same XProtect interface, with AvidGenAI enabling natural language investigation across all detection outputs.
